Requirements
- Must meet all requirements of Renewable Energy Application and Contract (Interconnection Agreement),
Systems that exceed 20 KW do not qualify. Click Here for agreement.
- Maximum rebate not to exceed $10,000.00
- Improvement shall require a GVEC listed contractor. Click here to view GVEC listed contractors.
- All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable manufacturer’s codes and standards.
- All PV systems shall carry a 1 year warranty from the Installer, and manufacturer’s warranty of 20 years on
solar panels and 5 years on the inverter.
- All equipment shall be new and listed by the California Energy Commission (CEC) to qualify for the rebate.
- Site location must have minimal shading by trees, structures, etc. GVEC reserves the right to deny rebate
based on excessive shading of the solar system. If shading at site location is in question, contact GVEC
prior to installation of the system.
- Invoice shall include: PV panel manufacturer, inverter manufacturer and model number.
- Manufacturer’s installation procedures and codes shall be followed.
- Should the system be removed, the member will be billed a pro-rated amount of the original rebate based
on 80% after one year, 60% after two years, 40% after three years and 20% after four years. After five
years there will be no penalty.

I have read and understand the qualifications and requirements of the program. I further understand that program participation will require the use of a GVEC listed contractor for all rebates other than Heat Pump Water Heater, Energy Star New Home and Appliance Rebates.
